Beyond the Badge Support Foundation, the nonprofit arm of Beyond the Badge, is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office and surrounding law enforcement agencies in Douglas County, Colorado.

Our mission focuses on fostering positive mental health, emotional resilience, and strong family connections for law enforcement personnel and their loved ones. We recognize the serious mental health challenges facing those who serve—including the high rates of trauma impacts, depression, anxiety, and suicide within the law enforcement profession.  

Through wellness programs, peer mentorship, family education, and mental health-focused events, we work to change that reality. We believe proactive support saves lives and can impact law enforcement families for generations. By equipping law enforcement officers and their families with tools for connection, communication, and resilience, we help reduce risk and build stronger, healthier law enforcement families—because when they are supported, the entire community benefits.

Healthy, connected families create more resilient first responders, which in turn leads to safer, stronger neighborhoods. From Family Academy and critical incident support to wellness initiatives and family outreach events, every program we offer is designed to build lasting support networks and promote mental well-being across our law enforcement community.
